Welcome Home Hadlee!

Hadlee got to come home from NICU last week and it has been so nice to have her home! These past few days have gone really well (even though I forgot how tired you get with a newborn around!) It has been wonderful not going back and forth between the NICU either. So far she is doing great. As of Friday she was back up to her birth weight. She still seems so itty bitty. Preemie diapers are big on her and most newborn clothes drown her. She fits well in preemie clothes. I know it's just a matter of time before we look back and can't believe she was ever tiny enough to fit into them though. :)

She is eating well at home. Pumping is going fine. I have a nice little stock of breastmilk in the freezer. They only let me nurse her every other feed until she gets a little bigger and stronger. Hopefully that happens soon because it is hard feeding her and pumping. Plus after every nursing session I have to offer her an ounce of breastmilk via the bottle to make sure she is getting enough. So feedings take a while...it will be nice when we can just do on demand feedings instead of such a structured schedule. The c section is healing great and I hardly have pain from it anymore--the pelvis is a different story but I know it will heal up eventually too.

Hadlee has a doctor appt tomorrow to check her weight and progress. I'm sure everything will go just fine and she will have put on more weight. So, that is our update! I hope you all have a very merry Christmas!

~My doctor and his nurse. They did such a fabulous job keeping me pregnant as long as I was. There were several times they told me they didn't think I would make it much longer. They really did do just a great job and I feel really blessed I had the OB I had.

~My 3 sweet little girls...all home together and all home for Christmas. It's great having us all together under one roof.

Shamae..I know what you are going through with the pumping and bottle and breastfeeding situation. We had this with Aidan and the girls and it is exhausting but it will get better.

I am sorry about your pelvis and I hope it gets better quickly because you are a very, very buys mom!!

The picture with the girls is precious and I love Sydney and Morgan's dresses. I also love Miss Hadlee in a stocking.
