Happy Anniversary Loren!

Sunday (the 23rd) will be our 6th anniversary. Time has gone so quickly and I am still amazed at all we have been through in our 6 years and, through it all, we have grown closer. I love him more today than I did 6 years ago. He is my best friend. Those who know him best, know what a great guy he is and how I am so lucky to have him forever. Big smooches! Love ya babe.

Here's to the best father, husband, and friend a gal could wish for. For your anniversary present I did a little cyber-shopping, enjoy!! Maybe someday we will actually be able to buy these things! For now you can just enjoy them here.

Even though snuggling with your baby is wonderful, I thought for an anniversary gift, instead of sleeping like this...

The first thing I would buy you is a full nights rest at a luxery hotel suite in Venice. I don't think we have slept through the night in over 5 years.

~After feeling fully rested from your sleep, I would take you on an Alaskan fishing trip! We'd catch lots of salmon to fill the deep freezer!

That would be a peaceful change from the very fun, but very exhausting trips like this

~Since Alaska is kind of a cold climate, we would warm up on a beautiful, white, sandy beach in Hawaii--a private beach all to ourselves. Ooo-la-la

-What a change that would be from our last beach experience...

~Next, instead of riding (or rather pushing) kids around like this...
-We would go for a ride in your very own Batman Begins Batmobile! Don't forget to wear your seat belt and have your "I-feel-sick-bag" in hand!

~After the ride of death, we would go and enjoy some peace and quiet in our new beach-front house.

At least for a few days, we wouldn't have to clean up messes like this...

And finally, I would throw in a gourmet chef and a maid because that would be awesome.

They could take care of the baking and then cleaning messes like this...

But, alas, instead of these gifts, you will have to settle for my homemade version of Perkin's French Silk Pie. (If I had that chef from above, the pie would probably turn out better.) Anyway happy anniversary babe! Cheers--to a lifetime of happiness with you!

~In the picture below, notice the eyes are not blood shot from sleep deprivation. No kids puking or pooping on us. No kids pulling on our arms. We can actually hold hands because we aren't each grabbing a kid to keep them from running in the road. Nobody is screaming, "Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom" at me. No excess body weight from the two little girlies. Life was so different back then. Even so, I wouldn't change what we have now for any of that again--well some more sleep really might be nice. :D HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

ONE HAPPY FAMILY!

Happy anniversary guys! I liked this post, very clever. However, I must tell you when I saw the picture of the Ridge Crest bathroom my stomach did a somersault and I felt a sudden rush of claustrophobia. Anyhoo, beautiful family you guys have and congratulations on 6 yrs!
