Boxing + Diabetes = A Good Time!

Last night we had the opportunity to go to a Boxing Fundraiser Event. This is an annual event that picks a few charities each year to divide the money between. This year the Utah Chapter of JDRF was chosen to be one of the recipients. We took the fam there so Sydney could help collect donations and just be one of the faces of kids with diabetes. The event was a lot of fun! I didn't know my girls would enjoy boxing so much. Loren and the girls yelled and hollered with the best of them. I thought the boxing was alright but, honestly, my favorite part was the people watching. It is an awful habit, I know! But last night provided a great opportunity for me to get in 4 good hours of people watching. Enjoy the pics from the event!

I also want to say THANK YOU to so many of my readers on here and my facebook buds who have promoted Syd's Video. It means so much to my family. Education is key and you all have taken a huge step in educating more people about Type 1 Diabetes. Pat yourselves on the back and pretend it's from me! You guys are awesome!

~What are these pics? These are Sydney on the BIG screen in the arena! That's right. She really was the face of Type 1 Diabetes last night. Jen H. do you recognize those pics? You should cause you took them! You did an awesome job girly!

~Syd prepared with the goods to collect donations on the floor. She did a stellar job talking to a few people about her diabetes and why a cure is important to her! She even managed to collect several envelopes for this event.

~This dear, sweet gal is Laura, the Executive Director for the Utah Chapter of JDRF. Clicking on this link will take you to homepage where Syd is the Chapter Kid for this month.

~Sydney getting into the boxing. She always rooted for the blue guys---Not actual blue people just refering to the color of their gloves. :-)

~We didn't get home until 1:30 a.m. The girls slept the whole way--It was a 4 hour drive.

And to carry on Jill and Wendy's Fuze Picture Fun...here is one of Miss Sydney. She is sporting a delicious Cranberry Raspberry flavor with only 4 grams of carbs in the entire bottle!
