Brag On My Man Monday

I want to introduce what, hopefully, will become a fun weekly tradition. I know from personal experience and from chatting with friends that sometimes it becomes easy in our day to day routines with laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning, kids, crying, bandaids, fighting, baths, and bedtimes to give credit to our boys. I often overlook my better half. So this gives us the opportunity to notice each week anything little that the men in our lives might do. This is not supposed to be anything huge, although it can be if you wish. These are the little things that we often overlook. Lets try to focus on them and give them credit here (and to the guy as well :-)! If I get enough submissions I might even make it a little contest. :-)

Keep in mind, this does not have to be limited to husbands. It can be fathers, sons, boyfriends, ect ect. Most of my readers are married, so I assume that will be most of the focus but it is open to all the men in our lives. This doesn't mean they must be perfect to qualify for some bragging on the blog but it should help us to notice the little things. Keep your eyes peeled so you can share them here. Don't forget to mention these things to your men, and direct them here for some great ideas and to see what will hopefully be ladies bragging on their men once a week! Share this idea with your pals too!

So lets get this started with a bang. 2 weeks ago I had a really rough day. I was helping with some family issues going on and I didn't get home with the girls until after 9pm. Loren knew I had been stressed and he decorated the house in post-it notes ALL over the house telling me the various ways he loves me. He decorated our room with flowers and candles and made me feel like a million bucks!! I know I don't tell him often enough and probably nit pick more than I should, but I love that guy!

So, come on girls, it's time to BRAG ON YOUR MAN!

Oh what a sweetheart!!! :) A silly one that my husband did yesterday was get me some books. I had just finished my last book and I didn't have anymore to read so I took one I had already read. He went to the store for something else and came back with 3 books for me!! I was very happy :)

Wow! I can't believe I'm the 1st one! I just have a quick one on my husband. My husband goes to work every day. He has school more than half the days after that. But he still comes home and makes us dinner. EVERY DAY! What husband does that? He's awesome! I can't say enough about him, but that's a huge one for me. And I mean HUGE!

Thad always gets up with the kids and gets them breakfast and takes care of Ava when she first wakes up so I can get a little more sleep. That means more to me than anything, because I really like my sleep. :) I know that he understands that I am with them all day while he is at work and that this is one way that he can contribute.

wow! what a great hubby. Wayne never puts notes up, but I love when he writes me love letters. He doens't do it often, so it makes them more special when he does. Thanks for reminding me to appreciate my man more.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the "you're spicy" note, but my fav is the "times flies when i'm with you"!!! Ok seriously can Loren like give a seminar or something to all the husbands out there? What a sweet husband you have!

I agree with the previous comment your hubby needs to give a seminar! That is so sweet of him to do that. My hubby is very good to go play with Cali and give me a break, I also love that he is able to work on our cars and is such a handy man.

Oh my, what a great idea! Right now just having Kevin home under the same roof makes him great! Seriously thought, I have learned to appreciate the small things like him offering to help in the kitchen and doing the laundry because I hate laundry. Yup, those are just a couple things I'll write about today.

You are a smart one....this is a GREAT idea!!! Let's see....I have so many from Micah that I have to choose just one...hard. Hmmmm, I think I will go with a major one! Last weekend he finally got to see his daughter that he has been fighting for over 5 years to see. He has endured so many hardships in this trial in his life, but he has ALWAYS remained positive and focused on the future and relied on the Lord for guidance. It's a pretty big one for everyone who has watched this whole ordeal....he is my hero for what he has been through....and now it if FINALLY paying off!!!! I love my man!
