Introducing Flashback Friday

Well I decided to do a couple of things to spruce up the ole blog a little bit. In addition to my normal posting, I am introducing FLASHBACK FRIDAY! I think this could be a fun way to remember some of our past good times. Flashback Friday could include many things but will mostly focus on music flashbacks. Leave me comments for any songs you'd like me to look up and add to a future edition of Flashback Friday!

I'm going to dedicate this post to the song that gave me the original idea. I think I was in the 7th grade when this song was a hit. It was recorded in 1997 (which I realize was only 12 years ago but the 90s are gone! When we look at the 90s now it is as a flashback. :-) and this song spent 6 weeks in the #1 position.

**Stay tuned for what I have planned for Monday!**

Wow! That is a flashback! I love it! I don't think that I have ever seen the music video till now though. I remember playing sports in middle school and any sporting event that we rode the bus to, they would blare that song for us to help us get pumped up! Isn't that funny! I can't believe the memories that The Sign brings back! Thanks for sharing!

Not my favorite song. Definitely one you can't keep out of my head! I can't believe you were in 7th grade in 1997. Yikes!

You are totally deluded. This song came out in 1993. Flashback to when I was in 9th grade and you were in 3rd. My cousins and I made up new lyrics to this song when I visited them in Texas. Gotta love that catchy beat, even if it took you four years to catch on.

1993, really Mike? Well I guess I was a little 10 year old then. ha ha ha. I didn't get "with it" until 7th grade apparently. :-)

I totally remember this song when I was a kid. We thought Ace of Bass were so cool. Great idea here.

Hahaha, so I was thinking I remember this song coming out when I was in 6th grade. I loved it and bought the single cassette tape (it was a double one that also included "All that she wants" lol). Anyway, I was in 6th grade in 1993, so I had to check up on it and it was recorded in 1993. But I just saw that you have a friend that already mentioned this lol!

This is a great song. I really like Ace of Base. I remember when this song came out (I was out of school) and I used to drive Charlie crazy listening to it. . . he still doesn't like this song.
