Brag On My Man Monday

It is that day of the week again...time to brag. So mine for this week is awesome. I have been in a serious state of sleep deprived delirium. Crazy numbers. Stresses associated with Sydney starting kindergarten in a week. Just being busy. I haven't slept much. When I don't sleep much, it just exasperates the situation and it makes it harder and harder to sleep. Loren, I'm sure, could see a mommy meltdown looming in the horizon. A few nights ago he gave me 2 benedryl (you are here to read, not judge) and a diet coke. I should mention that Loren is awesome and helpful but at night...not so much. He just sleeps to soundly--which irritates me when I'm tossing and turning all night but I can't complain because most likely he did the dishes or folded laundry before bed--So this means night duty for Syd usually falls to me. Night time checks generally consist of this...

Followed by this....

Ok back to my story. He gave me 2 benedryl, a diet coke, and put me to bed. That night, just so I wouldn't worry, he set the alarm clock for every 2 hours to check Sydney. Now that is a little bit of an overkill. Generally we check her 1-2 times a night and treat as needed. But, just to be thorough and so I could sleep without worrying, he checked her every other hour all night. It is definitely worthy of a brag and pat on the back.

Your turn. Brag on your man!!

oh man! So you brag on your man, and I write about an argument I had with mine!

Now I feel bad. Although I have written some nice posts about my husband in the past... does that count?

He's definitely a keeper. Chris is a really sound sleeper too. Annoys the heck out of me. Baby up 4 - 5 times the last few nights and I am exhausted. Luckily its only a short term thing for us. Do you have to check her nightly indefinitely or at some point will that stop? I learn so much at diabetes from your blog. Thanks for the lessons.

That is awesome!! Jim is the same way he sleeps really deep and hardly ever is woken-up by the kids. If he knows I am exhausted and about to have a "mommy meltdown" he will let me go to be and handle the kids. IT's great.

I think it is awesome that we are blessed with such great men!!

Judging from the pictures it seems that Syd is not very affected by these wake-ups during the night.
