Doc Update and QOTD...

This week has been a really good week with the pregnancy! Nothing has gotten worse and I'm feeling more and more confident that I will carry her further than my doctor thinks. Everything seems stable and my blood work came back great. They check kidney and liver function tests that check for the progression of pre eclampsia and/or HELLP syndrome. They looked wonderful! So that is awesome news. On Monday we had an ultrasound and got to see our little girl again...I always love that! She is perfect--measuring 2 lbs 3 oz with everything working properly. The only issue...if you want to call it that, is my amniotic fluid is at the lower end of normal but it's just something to watch at this point. I guess that's why my doc says my belly is measuring smaller than it should at almost 28 weeks. But, baby girl is growing great so I just need to increase the fluids and try to bump up that amniotic fluid a little. :-) So, all in all, it's a great week and we are just continuing with our taking it easy plan..which is ironic considering I have appts 3x a week now. ;)

Now for the Question of the Day...

What are you and/or your kids going to dress up as for Halloween?

If my pregnancy was going differently, Loren and I were going to go as a chef with a bun in the oven. (Loren the chef and me the oven.) But, I will probably just dress up as a pregnant mom in sweats and pass out candy. ;)

Loren will take the girls around and they are going to be Medusa from Greek Mythology. We are working on the snake for hair now. I am excited to see how it turns out! How about you guys?

Now...I'm off. Time for another NST.

I don't think I can muster up the creative energy to dress up myself but Addison is going as Bill Nye the Science Guy on a Space Mission!

Praise the Lord for the good news!! I'm so glad to hear. I've been praying and will continue to pray for you and your family.

As for Halloween, I am a party pooper. I don't dress up. I don't know what the girls are going to be yet...I think my oldest is going to be Hello Kitty and My youngest Minnie Mouse. As for Lovebug...I have no clue! She doesn't even know what she wants to be. I will be taking the girls around in a friend of mines neighborhood. It's always a good time. Have fun handing out candy! :)

This was so refreshing for me! I've been worried about you....but my life seems to spin out of control so fast that I can't always keep up. I'm SO HAPPY to hear that things are going well. THE MAN and I have a plan, ya know :)

I'm working Halloween night, so I s'pose I'll be a nurse :)

Tink is undecided....it changes minute to minute, so I'll have to revisit that one.

Tiara is going to be a beautiful bride.

Sugar is going to be an angel.

Hubs...he's going to be the Wagon Master :)

Glad to hear things are going so well!! My kids are going as a police man, cheerleader and probably a pumpkin. As for me? Who knows!

Hannah is going to be a witch again, Makayla wants to be Tinkerbell again, Lorne is going to wear a football jersey, and Gavin is going to be the football. I will probably just put on some cat ears and dress in black and go as Hannah witches black cat. Corny I know but I don't normally even dress up.

I love the Medusa idea!! Have they seen the Percy Jackson movie? Uma Thurman (I think) plays medusa. She is pretty creepy. Ian is going to be a ninja and Eliza is a butterfly/fairy/something purple.

I am so glad to hear that you are doing better. If you are in dire need of extra fluids any day please give me a text... I would love to run some over.

Shamae, so glad to hear the update...and even happier that it is good news! I have been thinking about you a lot and praying for you and your littlest princess.

Halloween? Is that this month? I am soooo far behind!! Good thing the girls have been planning their costumes for months! Jessi is going to be Barbie with a Mermaid Tail, Lexi is going to be a sweet bumblebee (yes, its a hand-me-down costume that all 3 girls have worn...she doesn't have a choice!) and Ally wants to be a Pink Power Ranger! Hilarious considering she has never even watched a Power Rangers show.

That is WONDERFUL news!! Every day is a victory with this little one! Keep up the good work Mrs. Oven.

M isn't dressing up...as far as I know...

B is going to be a hotdog...with Lawton. Lawton has a matching hotdog costume.

B is going to be wearing one of those blow up costumes. He is a cowboy riding a horse.

L is going to be a vampire. Which I am totally happy about, because for months he has been spouting off that he is going to be a ghost. And a good ghost costume takes way more creativity than I have in me.

So here is to many more days of baking your bun in the oven dear Shamae!

Glad that things are looking good this week! I'm sure it's such a huge relief to see some good test results!

I had Claire 2 days after Halloween last year and I thoroughly enjoyed passing out candy as a very pregnant witch...lotsa fun comments from parents at the door. :)

I've always wanted to be Medusa! I'm an 80's chick and Sweetpea is a puppy... or Cinderella!

Glad to hear the little cheeto is doing well! :) Praise!

Isn't it funy that they put you on bed rest....and then you are constantly on the go because of all the appointments? I thought that was totally ironic too! So much for just laying around getting fat! :) SUPER glad to hear things are going great....and I am praying that little gal stays in there at least another month....if not more!!! THAT would be so awesome! My kids are all kinds of different things: Cam-Wiazrd. Austin- Darth Vador. Gabe-probably spider man for the 3rd year in a row. the twins- ladybugs. Micah and I are going as "futuristic somethings or others" not sure yet....should be interesting! :)

I am so glad that things are holding on with your baby and that she is at 2 pounds.

I remember all of the bed rest and NST's and other appointments like you sometimes 3 in a week and I always wondered how I was supposed to get the rest they wanted :)

Hang in there!!!

I love the Medusa idea...the girls are going to be candy corns and the Aidan is still debating....I told Jim I can go as Frankenstein since that is what I will look like after brain surgery....
