New Roof

My mom always told me to choose friends wisely, I can now see the wisdom in that advice. We have some great friends whose husband happens to be a jack-of-all-trades. Since buying our home he has helped us with many projects. For the latest, Britton and Loren tackled roofing .

A couple of weeks ago Loren had Britton come and look at our roof because we had lost quite a few shingles over the course of our blustery winter. Britton used to have a roofing business--one of many of his business ventures and talents. Turns out we needed to re-roof the back part of our house. Britton agreed (bless his heart!) to help Loren do this so it would get done correctly and it would save us lots of $$$. Weather in my area has been exceptionally raining lately and finding a nice day to roof has been challenging. Yesterday they decided to give it a try. 12 hours later we have a new, beautiful roof on the back part of our home. Later on in the evening it began raining and both boys got drenched, but that didn't stop them! They persevered and got the roof done. By the time they came down and in for dinner (at 9:30 p.m.) they were both chattering and chilled and starving. It was kind of a sad sight as I watched them eat their potato soup and homemade bread...they couldn't stop shaking! Apparently it was less from being cold and more from the strenuous work of roofing. Needless to say, Loren and Britton are *very* sore today.

So here's a quick shout-out to Britton. Thanks SO MUCH for helping re-roof our house! We are very grateful and are glad we have such a handy friend! Thanks to his lovely wife Jessica who lent us her hubby for the day and it was nice visiting with her during the afternoon and watching our kidos play together.

**SIDE STORY**
-Morgan has not been feeling well for a couple of days and today I ran her into the doctor. After her appt. she got a sticker and we drove home. When I got home I turned around to check on her and apparently she covered her face with this sticker and fell sound asleep. It was too great of a picture to pass up!
