Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime?

We go fishing!! It is always an exciting experience to load up the car with our fishing poles, worms, tackle box, bug spray, sunscreen, and some food and drink. We drive to a lake, bait our poles and cast into the water. We sit and sit for most the morning, watching the girls play and waiting anxiously for a bite on our line. So far this year all our time has been spent waiting...no fish. Our latest adventure was on Saturday and we didn't catch a single thing. I was hoping to cook some delicious trout for dinner but had to settle for chicken instead. Today I googled "trout fishing" to look for some tips to help bring in the fish. I found some great advice and now I am ready to attempt a new fishing excursion ASAP! Whether we catch any fish or not, we always enjoy this fun pastime! Enjoy some pictures from our last outing and hopefully I will have actual pictures of fish on my next fishing post.

~~Syd and Morgan sitting on the dock and eating rice cakes while they wait for the "big one." (Don't worry their lines were cast out past all that moss ;)

~~That is a rice cake in Sydney's mouth just in case you were curious.

~~Morgan helping daddy.

~~Sydney, Morgan and Carter (our friends Britton and Jessica's little boy) trying to catch "moss fish." After a while they gave up on traditional fishing and would stick sticks into the mossy water and pull out big moss fish. If only adults were that easily entertained. :D

~~LAST YEAR~~
~Sydney has grown up so much in the last year. This was a fishing trip from last summer. This was one of the fish she caught. He was too tiny to keep so we let him go but not after a picture of our happy little camper.

I don't have Jackie's email, but I think that Charity and Blasi still take to her so give them a call. I hope that helps. :)
