Last night McCain was not even on the same playing field as Obama and, consequently, Obama wiped the floor with McCain. Between all of McCain's nervous fidgeting and squirrely mannerisms, it is clear that either McCain is not the brightest crayon in the box, he had to go to the bathroom, or he is just a terrible debater; however, two things are clear after listening to McCain's rhetoric, he has traveled to lots of countries and he wants to cut government spending. I couldn't believe how often he repeated those sentences during the debate. Cutting spending is an issue both candidates agree on, granted how they propose to cut spending is different but at least Obama can articulate what he proposes. As always, this is just my very humble opinion. :D After this first debate, as of the time I am posting this, Obama has pulled ahead of McCain in the polls. Now I don't want this blog to turn into a political dispute but feel free to post your thoughts if you so desire.
Stay tuned for the next debate between the two vice presidential hopefuls on October 2. The next presidential debate will on October 7.

You're a funny writer and I like reading your blog. I don't follow politics at all but I was entertained by your comments about the debate.
The disclaimer is hilarious! It sounds like your rooting for Obama. I didn't watch the debate but I'm still a McCainer! But we can still be friends!
Too funny about your disclaimer Shamae! LOL Sounds like something Jamie would make me do. LOL
I was a bit disappointed in the debate, I was hoping for a bit more out of Obama (don't expect much from McCain), but all in all I think it went fairly well and definately think Obama won round 1 of 3.
I was discouraged how Obama kept forgetting McCain's first name, I think he messed it up 2-3 times...but it isn't as bad as McCain refusing to even look at or talk to Obama at all. It's definately obvious, if no one knew it before, he doesn't like Obama at all.
As for the issues they did discuss - I like what Obama said, I wish they could be a little more clear on their plans for or future but understand in todays rocky society they can't make clear cut plans without crucifying themselves later on. The economic state of the US is in such a wishy-wash state right now who knows what it will be like in when the keys are handed over to them. But so far in theory I'm liking what Obama has to say more than McCain. Course I have always swung a little to the left the aisle, as McCain would say.
Shamae! You have a blog! I hope you are doing well. Congrats on the graduation and even more on the beautiful kids! You look great!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You're family is super cute. I loved reading your thoughts about the debate. I'm very interested to see how the vice presidential debate goes. We are also HUGE Office fans so I hope you enjoyed your season premier party. I'll definitely check back. Tell Loren HI from Chris and I!
I didn't watch and although for the most part I'm not a huge fan of McCain, even though I consider myself republican. I think he is a big idiot also, but can't say I agree with Obama on lots of things, so I'm not sure who to vote for! He is a horrible debater, didn't hold a candle to Romney either!
Hi Shamae. Rachelle said you wanted my e-mail address so you could be invited to the blog. It is jackitill@yahoo.com.
Love your blog.
I really don't want either for President. Kind of disappointing.
