Last Wednesday was my dad's 52 birthday. We were out of town that day so we had a party for him yesterday, on Saturday. We grilled burgers, ate jello salad, munched on chips and topped the party off with homemade pie. My dad isn't a fan of cake so my sister Malory and I put on our chef hats and aprons and turned out some mighty delicious pies...recipes that just might show up on my blog so you can enjoy them as well!
~Part of the gang dressing their burgers in preparation for an awesome feast!
~The pies. They were so good they deserve to be labeled. From left to right you have a German chocolate pie, chocolate cream pie, and a lemon cream pie.
~Opening the gifts, all in the form of gift cards, because my dad may be the most difficult person on this planet to buy a gift for.
The next few pics are of my niece Ashlyn because she is too cute and precious to not boast about on my blog. :-)
~Dad playing with Ashlyn who turned 6 months old yesterday.
~Sydney holding Ashlyn.
~Malory sneaking into a picture of Loren with Ashlyn.
~Ashlyn excited because Auntie Shamae kept sneaking her tastes of jello salad. Shhhhhh.
~Malory and Ashlyn...I wonder where Ashlyn gets her good looks. My sister is a knockout. :-)
~And finally a pic of my girls playing outside after the BBQ. Sydney was being sneaky while Morgan was distracted. She was probably going to put dirt on Morgan or something similar. She was caught by the camera.

What cute photos and what a fun day!
I love your blog. I came across it while I was searching other parents of diabetic children blogs. My daughter was diagnosed just this past August at 2 1/2 years old, and it is such a relief to read that others are experiencing what we are and getting through it. Thanks for blogging:)
Shamae-
I just noticed you left a comment on my blog, and I am so glad you did! It is always nice to find another person dealing with the same thing, and knows exactly what each other is going through. Your girls are so darling!
We'll have a HUGE party when we find a cure for Sydney and my little Brenner. Wont it be great!?!
Thanks for leaving a comment, I hope to one day get to meet you. Stacey speaks very highly of you. :)
I agree your niece Ashlyn is so cute and I think that is the bonus of being the Aunt, you can sneak jello :) It looks like so much fun hanging out with the your family. Your girls are so cute and I can just see that Sydney was certainly thinking of something michievous (to cute)!!
what fun! I love Syd's sneaky face! How great to be so close to family!
