Today I am going to flashback to the year I was born, 1983. This song was #6 on the charts (Mike, I'm sure you will correct me if I am wrong on this :D ) This is the first time I've actually watched the video and all I can say is W.O.W. I am not sure I completely understand the message attempting to be portrayed in the video so I am excited to take opinions on this matter and will post and give a shoutout to whoever's idea I like the best...it doesn't have to be accurate, just creative. What is she saying in this video?
Please pay special attention to the dancing ninjas and fighter guys in their undies. I am interested to hear those opinons. And the flying school boys with glowing eyes. So without further delay here is her 1983 hit song and later grammy winner,
Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler
UPDATE...my friend Aubri showed me this video in response to the original. It is hilarious! I think I like this version much better than the first! Watch them both and let me know what you think!! HA HA HA

Oh my gosh! This one's crazy. I saw a literal video of this once, it's hilarious. Personally I don't know if there's a message, at least I can't come up with one!
I had never seen the video to this song, MAN... creepy! LOL! Aubri that literal video is soooo funny!! I will never be able to listen to this song again without thinking of this video!!! LOL!
They should implement this video into the "Just Say No" campaign.
I haven't ever seen the video to this song either. WEIRD!! But the 2nd one takes the cake. That was hilarious!
haha! ken actually showed me that literal version the night he taught me to long board! i about peed my pants laughing!
I don't get the first video!! At all. The literal video is hilarious! My husband and I had a good laugh! :)
Oh and since nobody else pointed it out, I will
1983!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh!! :) LOL
So the first video is soooo weird. i will never listen to that song in the same way again.
I loved the second video! I laughed until I cried! From now on you have to post two versions of every flash back friday songs.
No, Shamae. I will let you be the expert on this one. Is the singer wearing a football helmet too? Or is that her hair?
This song always reminds me of anti-drug assemblies in HS. Remember Tiffany Beck being caught in a circle of people wearing black t-shirts labeled "alcohol," "cocaine," etc.? Now I know where they got the idea. After watching the video, that seems entirely appropriate!
Honestly, I don't think they understood what they were doing either when they shot this vid. I mean, who understood anything in the 80's? Hehe!!! I love this song and had never seen the vid and I'm a little creeped out.
