Remember why we celebrate...

Memorial Day.

I just wanted to make a blog post in honor of Memorial Day. I think far too often this holiday is overlooked and viewed as a day off work and barbeques. While we are enjoying our holiday, just take a minute to remember all our heroes who have served our country and those who are serving. They are always close to my heart and mind. My step-brother Scott is serving his second tour of duty over in the middle east. He is a captain in the 15th MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) and flies a super cobra fighter helicopter. Right now he is in the middle of the ocean somewhere on the USS Peleliu. We are so proud of him and his chosen career. We keep Scott and all the soldiers in our prayers daily. Here is my slide show that is dedicated to Scott. We love you Scott and can't wait for you to get home again.

Thanks so much for remembering our troops.... Greg may not be able to serve anymore due to his own military injuries, but we don't regret a day that he served and still love and support our trips wherever they may be... glad you had a nice Memorial Day

Shamae that was quite the tribute to our country and to your step brother. I get so emotional about anything patriotic.
Congratulations on graduating! YAY! (my smart little friend.) That is such an amazing accomplishment, you worked so hard... now what are you going to do? Disneyland? :)
