I was shopping at Costco today and ran across this nifty product. It wasn't even pricy. I got 2, 23 ounce bottles for just under $7.50. I have heard of other diabetics using it before and was just curious what your thoughts are if you have used it. What this is is a natural sweetener that is low on the glycemic index so it doesn't spike blood sugar levels. I think it will be great for syd--and all of us. You can use it in place of regular sugar but it is naturally more sweet so you use less of it. It is organic and wholesome! I'm excited to try it. Any suggestions on what to use it in? I am making peanut butter cookies for syd's birthday snacks at school on Friday. (Yes she will be 6 on Friday!) Would this be a good substitute for the sugar or no? Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions!
Oh and one other perk...it is gluten free! My bottle doesn't say "Raw" on it but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing.
